Sam commissioned me to take the photos for a new blog she is helping to put together to showcase the artists, makers and producers of Hillsborough. The blog is just one strand of a burgeoning initiative to celebrate all things creative in the area (and show there is more to Hillsborough than just football!). The initiative is called S6 Platform and you can follow the blog at s6platform.wordpress.com.

Sam’s work is influenced by British art from the 30’s to the 60’s, which gives her prints and designs a classic look combined with a hand-crafted aesthetic. As well as prints and collages, Sam prints onto textiles to create wonderful tote bags and lampshades.
